Xstatic Batcap
 The Xstatic Corporation Many years ago, we saw a need for an energy source that would take care of the ever-increasing demand for power created by larger and more power-hungry amplifiers. Car lights were dimming and batteries and alternators were being replaced entirely too often. After extensive research and development of ways to solve this problem, the BatCap was invented.
The BatCap is a novel and creative way to help prevent voltage drop at the amplifier, and at the same time, take some work off the alternator and battery. Many of the world's loudest vehicles now utilize the power, and enjoy the weight and size of the BatCap.
Ray McKenzie, President and CEO of Xstatic Corp., owner of a stereo shop, and inventor of the BatCap, continues to produce incredible amounts of power in relatively small packages. He and his staff keep up with the latest technology in the industry and strive to be the best.

Why go with Xstatic Products?Ray McKenzie designed the "Xstatic Batcap" approximately 9 years ago. It is a unique product, a hybrid if you will. It is a power unit that combines the energy of a battery with the speed and high discharge rate of a capacitor. This means intense power discharged at a maximum rate of speed, able to sufficiently meet the needs of the power-hungry amplifiers on the market today.
All the BatCaps, batteries, capacitors, and power products in the Xstatic Line are of the highest quality. Ray has chosen not to compromise quality in order to decrease cost. He feels this would be detrimental overall, not only to the reputation of Xstatic, but also to the customers who have made our business a success. To manufacture our products with cheaper materials, such as used recycled lead, rather than virgin lead, would greatly decrease the quality of our products, there effectiveness in performance, and also the cycle life itself.
Over the course of the 9 years since Ray founded the Xstatic Corporation he has upgraded several of our products. This upgrading has involved not only his time, but also an additional overall expense due to the increase in the cost of materials. However, our dealer prices and suggested retail prices have remained the same. Ray's sole purpose has been to further increase the quality of our products.
As President, CEO, and founder of the Xstatic Corporation Ray does not just sit behind a desk. You will often find him in the lab or in the shop, donned with a leather apron working long hours right along side his technicians. Although he is a busy man, Ray always takes the time to take a phone call, give technical support or answer whatever question a dealer or an individual may have.
As for the Xstatic Products, they are out there in car audio systems worldwide. They are outlasting and outperforming everything else on the market today. They are still maintaining proper voltage, still improving sound quality, still breaking db records and still putting 'winning' smiles on our many satisfied customers' faces. They are still able to meet the demands of the high-end systems on the market today.

What is a BatCap?A conventional battery, as we all know, has a positive and negative terminal. The chemical reaction within creates a flow of electrons, causing an electronic device (in this case an amplifier) to work. The stiffening capacitor is similar to a battery in that it stores a charge. The fundamental difference is it cannot create electrons. It can only store and supply (discharge) them upon demand. The advantage with a capacitor is that it discharges in twenty thousandth of a second, unlike a battery that does in one second. The battery therefore cannot discharge fast enough to effectively supply the amplifier and this is the reason for “power sags.” WAKE UP! Don’t fall asleep just yet; we’re getting to the exciting part.
The XSTATIC BATCAP is simply a battery that can discharge just as quickly as a capacitor. Therefore, you have a constant supply of electrons that will discharge at lightning speed! This puts less strain on your stock alternator and battery. It also recharges faster than a conventional battery since the internal resistance is low. How about the install? Well I’m sure you can find a place to put this 2.5 lb. baby and his 5 lb. big brother. Don’t let the size fool you though. These BATCAPS can crank start your car, and you can bet we put that to the test!
The cost is another remarkable feature since the 300 model costs the same as a “High End” stiffening capacitor and the 400 model costs a little more. Remember, “good things come in small packages.” (I was going to say that “SIZE” doesn’t matter, but let’s not offend anyone now.) Oh, by the way, the fact that the BATCAP is capable of discharging in a RUSH over a 5-10 second period SCREAMS three letters, “SPL!”
